Privacy Policy
Last updated · 2026-05-19
FreeVideoToGif is designed to be private by default. Your video files never leave your device — all conversion happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly.
What we collect
We do not collect, store, or upload your video files. The converter runs as a browser-side WebAssembly application. Your file is read directly by JavaScript in your browser, processed in-memory, and the resulting GIF is created locally for you to download.
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use this service.
Cookies and local storage
The core converter does not set cookies or use browser storage to record information about you. Some third-party services we use may set cookies, as described below.
Third-party services
We rely on the following third parties to run this site:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and serves files. Cloudflare may log basic request data (IP address, user agent) for security and operational purposes. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- jsDelivr — content delivery network for the FFmpeg WebAssembly core. Requests for these files may be logged by jsDelivr.
- Google AdSense (if ads are displayed) — Google may use cookies to personalize ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings. Read Google's advertising policy for details.
Your rights
Because we do not store any personal data about you, there is generally no data for us to delete or export. If you are in a jurisdiction with data protection laws (such as GDPR or CCPA) and have a question about your rights, please contact us.
Children's privacy
FreeVideoToGif is a general-audience utility. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
